Our team of project managers uses OnTrac, APECS' custom project system. This system provides a tool set that enables the successful completion of even the most complex projects. 

The key steps to our process are outlined below:

• Planning - Determine what problem needs to be overcome or what capability needs to be added.  Assess resources and high level milestones required to deliver that end, and define what metrics will be used to determine if the project is successful.  Gain commitment from key leaders and develop the project plan.
• Design - An interactive process with team members, subject matter experts and stakeholders designed to uncover potential solutions and evaluate their merit in order to solve the problem or deliver the capability.  The result of this phase is a well designed solution.  Gain commitment from key leaders to implement the solution.
• Execution - Turn the design into reality while carefully managing scope and resources.
• Closure - Measure the output for compliance with project success metrics while efficiently demobilizing project resources. Transition the solution to the owner in a controlled and responsible fashion while securing project documentation.
