JOB TITLE : Project Engineer

Job Description:

APECS is looking for a degreed Chemical or Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years’ related engineering experience, coupled with some demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities. This is a full time position. You will work as part of a cross‐functional team of design engineers, estimators, contractors and commissioning agents. You’ll participate in project administration, end user support, facilities, materials management, quality control and safety planning. Your responsibilities will include ensuring project deliverables within established budgetary guidelines. In addition, will be regularly called upon to make sound decisions and generate detailed/accurate documentation.

Who Are You?

You are a degreed Chemical Engineer with a mix of related engineering and project management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or oil/gas industries. Your work style is adaptable and communication is one of your strong suits. You appreciate diversity in projects and have demonstrated an ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, as well as working independently.

You will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required
  • At least 5 years’ experience in chemical engineering
  • Some project management and leadership experience
  • Experience developing, planning and managing technical projects such as tenant improvements, chemical processes and laboratory projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is essential, as well as the ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated strengths in organization, time management and teamwork skills
